Most everybody has a favorite mixed drink recipe for moonshine. If you have yet to find a favorite or if you want to try a few new ones, here’s a great place to start.

2 oz. Appalachian Moon™ original
½ oz. honey
4 oz. sweet tea

 

Pour all ingredients over ice into a mason jar. Squeeze in the juice of a half lemon and stir. Toss in some lemon wheels for garnish.

 

1 ½ oz. Appalachian Moon™ Peach Pie
3 oz. orange juice

 

Pour in a shaker with ice. Shake and pour over two cubes of ice in a highball glass. Garnish with orange peel and peach slivers.

1 ½ oz. Appalachian Moon™ original recipe
4 oz. orange juice

 

Combine in a shaker with ice. Shake and pour over three cubes of ice in a highball glass. Garnish with orange peel and peach slivers. Sip slowly. Very slowly.

 

Prepare a classic Mint Julep but substitute Appalachian Moon™ original recipe for bourbon. Lightly swirl a handful of mint leaves in a julep cup. Pack crushed ice over mint. Pour Appalachian Moon original recipe slowly over ice. This “white” julep is mighty tasty! Garnish with a leafy mint sprig. When you sip it, keep the mint out of your nose holes. Or not.

 

1 ½ oz. Appalachian Moon™ original recipe

 

Place a thick slice or two of cucumber in a small tumbler. Pour in Appalachian Moon™ original recipe. Add ice if you want to and stir a tad. Garnish with a sprig of thyme or basil.

 

The Appy Moon Juice rule is there are no rules! In addition to the ingredients listed, you can toss in whatever you're craving!

 

2 oz. Appalachian Moon™ original recipe
1 oz. Virginia Frost™ vodka
1 oz. of your favorite gin
1 oz. peach schnapps
1 oz. Crème de cassis
1 oz. cranberry juice
1 oz. pineapple juice
2 oz Sprite®
Splash of cherry juice
½ fresh peach

 

Muddle the peach in the bottom of a shaker. Add all ingredients except for the Sprite®. Add ice. Shake, Shake, Shake! Double strain to remove peach pulp. Pour over ice in a mason jar. Top with sprite®. Garnish with a pineapple chunk, a lime wheel and a maraschino cherry. This recipe will serve two (or more!)
